Look no further After a lot of research I settled on the Goalsetter All-American. I'm pleased beyond expectation. I was a little concerned about buying something this large over the internet, but the shipping went smoothly, even though the shipper broke the first backboard. If you are at all handy don't pay to have the system installed. I payed $160 to rent a hole auger, and roughly $50 for sack concrete. It took me about 5 hours start to finish to dig the hole and get the post set in concrete, and then only about an hour to put the hoop together the following weekend. The system is really well built, and couldn't be more simple to put together. The hoop is very sturdy and play is just like you get in a gym...no more dead spots on the backboard. My only warning is that you will need more concrete than you think so buy extra and take it back. Instructions call for 14 60# bags and I used 15 80# bags. (but I did dig my hole about 50"x20") . Stop looking, get your credit card out and buy this hoop.
we bought two Looks great put together and very good quality. I had a slight issue with which bolt to use, contacted Goalsetter and was impressed with their support. Really like that these systems are American-made.
Great product. I'm not very handy so I was worried about the set-up. Turns out it was really straight-forward. I had a fence guy dig the hole, cement and base. I put up the pole/backboard/rim with limited help from my son and wife. The product itself is really solid - I feel like I have the best hoop in town!
Goalsetter Is It! I did a ton of research before buying this system, and I can save you the crazy 20 hours worth of time that I put into it. Goalsetter (doesn't matter which system you get) as a brand, is by far the superior manufacturer. I wrote an extensive tutorial for homehoops.com, which you can locate in the "Information" section, on the left side navigation of the webpage.
